The Farmville Chamber of Commerce recognized Café Madeleine as the Merchant of the Month for September on Thursday, September 17 at 10:00 am at the café. Coleen Starling, owner of the French bakery and popular eating place received a plaque.
“The Farmville Chamber of Commerce wishes to consistently recognize members who serve the citizens of Farmville and the surrounding areas through good times and bad, making Café Madeleine an easy choice for the September award,” said Phillip Irvin, the Chairman of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce Board or Directors. “Despite the challenges a new-to-town eatery faces, the Starlings and the staff of Café Madeleine have continued to work hard day and night in their quest to provide relaxed, refined food.”
The presentation and comments at the event were made by Irvin, and Lori Drake, the Executive Director of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce. Café Madeleine is located at 3699 East Wilson Street in Farmville.
